Our Mission and Purpose

The purpose of this Association shall be identical with those of the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association (hereinafter referred to as PDHA), namely; to improve the oral health of the public; to advance the art and science of dental hygiene; to maintain the highest standards of dental hygiene education and practice; to represent and protect the interests of the dental hygiene profession; to improve the professional competence of the dental hygienist; to foster research in oral health; to provide professional communications; and conduct other activities as may be permitted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to carry out the purposes of this Association.

The mission of the Association shall be identical to that of PDHA: to improve the public's total health by increasing the awareness of and ensuring access to cost-effective quality oral health care; to advance the art and science of dental hygiene by promoting the highest standards of dental hygiene education, licensure, practice, and research while representing and promoting the interests of dental hygienists.
